Kiwi is a guy that needs a very knowledgeable owner. The diet of an Eclectus parrot is super important and the wrong diet can make them very ill or kill them very quickly. Eclectus experience would be wonderful but someone who will be willing to research and learn could work. Being committed to making fresh food for him daily and make sure he eats what he should eat is a must! Kiwi likes to be in the heart of the home, he is very social. Although loud noises and fast kids can startle him and can cause him to scream very loudly. His most recent owner was busy and Kiwi spent a lot of time alone and started feather picking behaviors. Hopefully with time and attention his feathers will come back however there are no guarantees. He is hand tame but can be stubborn at times, he will bite when he doesn’t want to do something.
