Cory is about a 50 year old double yellow head amazon.  

Cory was adopted from a rescue when he was about 20 years old.  We have no info on his first 20 years of life.  He was adopted from that rescue about 30 years ago.  Then he was very much a family bird.  Played with toys, ate meals with the family, would have free roam of the house and only caged at night.  He seems fine with dogs and other large birds.  He is a happy bird who speaks a few words.  About 10 years ago Cory's primary caregiver died and the family home was sold.  None of the family members could keep Cory and the new owners offered to keep him.  He was not kept as a family bird during the last ten years and had little to no interaction.  

With some love, time, and ability to trust people again we believe Cory would be a great companion.  He can get loud, as most amazons do, but could make a great companion for the right owner.
