Hazel is a 20 year old yellow fronted Amazon.  She is a vocal Amazon always talking or making noises of some sort. She is friendly, will step up, once she trusts you she will let you pet her head.  She is still an Amazon and gets excited and will bite when excited but if you watch her body language its easy to tell when shes excited and you just need to leave her alone.  She doesn't play with toys, but we are working on that and have lots of toys in her cage.  She is also a fussy eater but we are working on getting her converted to a more healthy pelleted diet.  She has been offered veggies but does not eat those either.  So her new home will need to work with her on her diet - eventually she will enjoy a healthy pelleted diet supplemented with fresh veggies and fruits.
